Bio

Francesca is a director, practitioner, educator and acting coach. She has worked professionally in both the UK and New York. New York credits include: Scar Tissue  (Dixon Place & Pete's Candy Store),  Wrong Number (Hudson Shakespeare Co. & The Gallery Players), The C*nt  (The Clemente), Polikushka, Overnight & Voices! (The Gallery Players), Naked  (Joria Mainstage Theater), Manchild Psychiatry (Theater 54). New York AD credits include: Headstrong and Neptune Kelly (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Julius Caesar (Stella Adler Studios). UK credits include: Same (Shakespeare North Playhouse, Greenwich Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe) Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Studio), The Crucible, A View from the Bridge, Death of a Salesman, Antigone, Caesar (Old Rep Theatre), Wuthering Heights, Oliver!, Romeo & Juliet and The Crucible (Hayward Theatre).

Francesca started her professional career directing youth productions and coaching young students. She moved to New York in 2011 to pursue her career in directing theatre. Whilst in New York, Francesca developed many new works, working closely with playwrights and producers to create exciting new theatre. Moving back to the UK in 2018, Francesca starting mentoring and training young actors resulting in many working in the industry professionally and many gaining places in top Drama Schools such as GSA, East 15, LIPA, Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2024 Francesca created and developed "Same" a new work focussed on men's mental health. She took this show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the Summer of 2025. In addition to directing, Francesca has worked in fundraising for off-off-Broadway Theaters and other not-for-profit organizations. Now Francesca is working on her latest project: FDC Acting Studio! This exciting concept is designed to not only offer bespoke training to all levels of actor from beginner to professional,, but also to build a community of like-minded creatives, who offer support, advice and imagination!
